Gram Flour Petit Fours – Besan ki Laddoo
Spherical-shaped sweets made of a lentil based flour.
400g gram flour, sifted
250g unsalted butter
200g caster sugar
2 tbsp milk
Place the gram flour with the butter in a pan.
On a medium heat stir the mixture for 10 minutes until it becomes like wet sand. Make sure the mixture doesn’t burn at the bottom. Stir in the milk and then turn off the heat.
Add the sugar and mix thoroughly with a fork for 2-3 minutes.
Allow to cool for a couple of minutes.
While the mixture is still warm, wet your hands. Take portion of the mixture the size of a ping pong ball and shape it into a smooth round. Repeat until all the mixture has been used up.
Let them cool and place in an air-tight container. It can keep for 7 to 10 days.
