Strawberry Fruit Salad
This is a delicious and spicy way of eating fruit. The black pepper actually works well with the sweetness of the honey and if you want a dollop of indulgence, spoon over some double cream.

Serves: 1 or 2

Ingredients:

4cm piece root ginger
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp honey
A pinch of coarsely ground black pepper (optional)
2 kiwi fruits, peeled and sliced
225g yellow fleshed melon, cut into 2cm pieces
225g strawberries, hulled and halved
1 orange, peeled and cut

Preparation:

Grate the ginger and squeeze the juice through a sieve and into a cup. Add the lemon juice, honey and black pepper, if using, and mix.
Combine the kiwi fruits, melon, strawberries and orange together. Pour over the ginger juice and serve.
