Dates Shake - Khajoor ka Shake

Dates are a good source of various vitamins and minerals such as selenium copper and magnesium which makes it a superfood for strengthening bones and fighting off painful and debilitating conditions such as osteoporosis.

This shake makes the most of the sweetness of dates with the added bonus of calcium from the milk.

Serves 4
 
Ingredients:

4-5 dates, stoned or pitted
500ml semi-skimmed or almond milk
the seeds of 2-3 cardamoms, ground

   
Method:  

Chop the dates into small pieces. Put the dates and the milk with the cardamoms into the jar of a blender and puree until smooth.
Divide into 4 equal size glasses and serve chilled or with ice.
